Reflection

If you want to be good at anything, you’ve got to accept short-term pain for long-term gain. It’s true for sports, finances, and relationships. Most problems in life come from the inability to delay gratification. Society tells us, “You need everything, and you need it now.” “You want it free and you want it easy.” Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. You’re going to have pain in life. You need to choose to do the hard thing right now, so you can benefit in the future.

Scripture Memory

Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.

1 John 3.18

Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5.16
