a word from our pastor

Good morning, First Baptist Family!

Today at our 11am worship service we welcome the football and volleyball teams from Corsicana Middle School! Coaches and students, we are glad you are here! We want YOU to be a part of all Jesus is doing in our lives at FBC. Please come back!

This morning the sermon is about giving, and I wanted to introduce you to a principle in God’s economy:

THE MORE YOU GIVE THE MORE YOU WILL HAVE TO GIVE

This principle may sound contrary to reason, because reason says, “The more I save the more I will have to give!” Yet in God’s way of living, this is the way it works! Why? Because in God has a way of multiplying what we have It’s like the story of the boy with 5 loaves & 2 fish. His meager meal fed 5,000+ people with 12 baskets left over! God multiplied it!

So remember: The more we give the more we will have!  There’s no way to know God’s bounty until you begin to use it for Him.

Proud to be your pastor,
Dr. Reeves
