A Word from Our Pastor

Every Memorial Day it is important that we remember! We need to remember the lives that were given, the lives that never got to be lived, and the people they left behind. I believe on this day that this is the only story that matters.

This is why we need to try to attend Memorial Day worship services and ceremonies. We need to hear the names of those who died uttered aloud, even if we never knew any of them. And we should do that this year—and the next and the next and the next.

It’s crucial that we remember each Memorial Day.

This morning, we have the chance again to talk about LOVE, and I think it’s actually perfect on Memorial Day, because John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Today, we will be studying again out of 1 Corinthians 13.

Grateful to be an American, and grateful to know the God of love, Dr. Reeves.
