A Word from Our Pastor

Good morning, FBC Corsicana!

First of all….TO GOD BE THE GLORY for all that happened during Vacation Bible School! What a phenomenal week of ministry and missions with our children! Thank you to each of you who were a part of the effort. I am so proud of you. AND…THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to our Children’s Minister, Cathy Byrne! Cathy showed tremendous leadership!

Second, you will be blessed today by our Student Minister, Tim Hite, who will bring the sermon. I am taking a few days off to rest and recover, and I am thankful to Tim for being in the pulpit today.

Last, mark your calendars for next Sunday at 6:00pm, and please commit to being at the Take America Back to God event here at FBC. I look forward to seeing you there!

We will begin planning for the upcoming fiscal year in the next few weeks. If you would like to give input or submit a recommendation, contact Jeff Fitzhugh. Committees and Ministry Teams should submit recommendations by Sunday, July 24.

Wednesday Night Bible Studies

What is a Disciple? | The original disciples were ordinary people like you and me. They had jobs, families, hobbies, and social lives. As they went about their business on the day Jesus called them, none of them would have expected his life to change so quickly and completely.

Kids Praise

We offer children’s worship during the 11:00am service. Parents should sign in kids on the landing before service or when dismissed. Children can be picked up on the 4^th floor.

Thank You VBS/VBX Workers

We appreciate all all the workers who helped this week. It was a great time, and we saw an impact for the kingdom! Thank you for serving Christ and blessing this church and the children who came in our building. Also, thank you to our VBS Lead Team who helped in planning throughout the year!

Celebration Choir

Worship team meets Wednesday at 5:15pm in the Sanctuary.

Body Recall

Each week (M-W-F) we offer a class that emphasizes strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. The class meets in the FLC at 9 am and is led by

Jimmie Buchanan.

Beloved Ladies

We will take a break for the summer months .

Find a Place to Serve

Good News Cafe

Team members prepare and serve a free hot meal to people in our community, ministering and praying for those who attend.
Meals are served from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Our Good News Café will be taking a break June 19 thru July 10.
Grace Community will be hosting during those weeks.

Good News Club

Team members help lead a Bible club for various CISD elementary schools in the fall and spring.

Training is scheduled for Saturday, August 5
@ 9:00am in Fellowship Hall. Training ends at noon for returning volunteers and goes to 4:00pm for new volunteers. To help, contact Michelle Purifoy

Greeter Ministry

Team members assist families with check-in, collect information from guests, and help guide visitors to the appropriate group.

Safety Team

Team members work to provide a safe environment for church members during worship services and other church events. This team also provides leadership during emergency situations.

Media/Tech Ministry

Team members help coordinate tech support for worship services. We are currently seeking a member to help operate the lights.

Food For Fitness

We have an opening for a team member to prepare meals on Friday every two or three months. Funds are provided. You will need to purchase and prepare the meals. Starts in July. Contact the Church Office if interested.
