A Word from Our Pastor

A Love Letter for The Father, on Father’s Day

What a day!! A day to remember, You, our Father. You have promised countless times that you love us and that You’ll never leave us. You even went so far as to show us how much you love us by sending your only Son.

Can we ask for anything else? Of course we can, and we always do.

We hope to be even half of the parents you’ve been to us. We hope we’re there for our kids as you have been for us…to comfort them; to hold them; to answer their questions; in good times or bad, to always be there.

So we end this letter by thanking You for being our Father!

We are VERY blessed to be one of your children!

Proposed Amendments

Copies of proposed amendments for our Constitution and By-Laws are available outside the Sanctuary, online or in the Church Office. If you are a member, take a copy and review. These items will be discussed at the Church Conference on Wednesday, 21 June 2023.

In accordance with the rules for amending our governing documents, discussion and a first vote will occur on Sunday, 16 July 2023 and a second vote will occur on Sunday, 27 August 2023. A three quarter majority (¾) is required in two consecutive meetings to pass the amendments.

Student Ministry

Thank you all for your prayers for us this week at Camp. It was an awesome week and God did some really amazing things! 

There will be no Sonic Sunday tonight because it’s Father’s Day. Enjoy the day and make sure your dad is celebrated well!

Kids Praise

Today, we offer children’s worship in the 11:00am service. Parents should sign in kids on the landing before service or when dismissed. Children can be picked up on the 4th floor.

Take a VBS card or two to share with friends and neighbors. Also available are prayer cards.

Body Recall

Each week (M-W-F) we offer a class that emphasizes strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. The class meets in the FLC at 9 am and is led by

Jimmie Buchanan.

Beloved Ladies

We will take a break for the summer months . Meetings to resume at the start of the new 2023-2024 year in September.

Find a Place to Serve

Good News Cafe

Team members prepare and serve a free hot meal to people in our community, ministering and praying for those who attend.
Meals are served from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Our Good News Café will be taking a break June 19 thru July 10.
Grace Community will be hosting during those weeks.

Good News Clubs

Team members lead Bible clubs for CISD Elementary Schools. Our club for Elementary Schools meets on Tuesdays during the CISD school year. To help, contact Michelle Purifoy @ 214-529-5233.

Greeter Ministry

Team members assist families with check-in, collect information from guests, and help guide visitors to the appropriate group.

Safety Team

Team members work to provide a safe environment for church members during worship services and other church events. This team also provides leadership during emergency situations.

Media/Tech Ministry

Team members help coordinate tech support for worship services. We are currently seeking a member to help operate the lights.

Food For Fitness

We need help on Fridays volunteering to shop and prepare meals. Funds are provided. It only takes a few hours ounce a month. Start’s in July. Contact the church office if interested.
