A Word from Our Pastor
Good morning, FBC!
What a great day we shared last Sunday! God is on the move, and we have the hope for the world, our culture, our nation, and our community…His name is Jesus Christ! I pray you will join in the Take America Back to God revival!
This morning, we have the privilege of “Getting Out of the Boat” with Peter once again. We will be reminded that there are times in our lives when we think our biggest problems are behind us, only to find out that our biggest troubles are actually dead ahead. The only way to deal with this fact is resilience! We must be RESILIENT! When we feel the wind, we must keep our eyes on God!
Today, my prayer is we will learn to hold on even when the wind blows!

Are you overwhelmed by the godlessness sweeping across our world and flooding every corner of cyberspace? Are you disillusioned that the most vitriolic voices in debates are sometimes those of people calling themselves Christians? In this five-part series, Berni Dymet explores how Jesus engaged with and responded to people who were hostile toward Him. In Jesus’ example, we find a way to hold tight to the truth, while speaking it in love.

Children’s Ministry
Kids Praise
We offer children’s worship during the 11:00am service. Parents should sign in kids on the landing before service or when dismissed. Children can be picked up on the 4th floor.

Worship team meets Wednesday at 5:15pm in the Sanctuary.

Solid Rockers Choir
Rehearsals will resume in the fall.
Body Recall
Each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we offer a class that emphasizes strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. The class meets at 9 am in FLC and is led by Jimmie Buchanan, our local Body Recall expert. Jimmie Buchanan is celebrating her 24th year leading Body Recall.
Find a Place to Serve
Good News Cafe
Team members prepare and serve a free hot meal to people in our community, ministering and praying for those who attend.
Meals are served from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Our Good News Café will resume this week on July 17th.
Good News Club
Good News Club
Team members help lead a Bible club for various CISD elementary schools in the fall and spring.
Training is scheduled for Saturday, August 5
@ 9:00am in Fellowship Hall. Training ends at noon for returning volunteers and goes to 4:00pm for new volunteers. To help, contact Michelle Purifoy

Greeter Ministry
Team members assist families with check-in, collect information from guests, and help guide visitors to the appropriate group.
Safety Team
Team members work to provide a safe environment for church members during worship services and other church events. This team also provides leadership during emergency situations.
Media/Tech Ministry
Team members help coordinate tech support for worship services. We are currently seeking a member to help operate the lights.
Food For Fitness
We have an opening for a team member to prepare meals on Friday every two or three months. Funds are provided. You will need to purchase and prepare the meals. Starts in July. Contact the Church Office if interested.
Guest Services
Team members assist families with check-in, collect information from guests, and help guide visitors to the appropriate class or group.
