Good morning, FBC Family!
It’s DiscipleNow Weekend! Thank you to all of our students for committing yourself to be DEVOTED to the Lord! Let’s stand with them!
I want to share 2 things with you today:
First, next Sunday I will begin a new sermon series that I am calling “Back to the Basics!” I encourage you to lock in with us in worship as we discuss the DNA of a healthy, growing church by examining Acts 2.
Second, we are diving back into missions in 2024,Our first mission trip will occur on Feb 7-10 (during CISD’s Winter Break), and we will head to South Texas to work with our partnering ministry, Hearts 4 Kids.The trip will include 10 people, and we are looking for: male & female / English or Spanish speakers / teens allowed. We will be doing children’s outreach and construction. Price is only $25, and sign-up will be in the Welcome Center starting today! Acts 1:8!

Ron & Eston have been previously ordained. The other men will be ordained during a special service on Sunday, January 21 @ 5:00PM.

Student Ministry
D-Now 2024 was a huge success! We had a great weekend learning all about what it meant to be devoted to God fully in our lives. The students spread out across the city yesterday helping some of our members with yard work and it was great seeing them serve. Thank you for the prayers for this weekend. God did a great work!

Worship Team meets Wednesday at 5:15pm in the Sanctuary.

Ministry Opportunities
Baptist Student ministry
We will be serving a lunch to the BSM on Wednesday, January 17. We need volunteers to help serve. You can also bring chips (party packs) or desserts (cookies or brownies). Bring items to the FLC by Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
Good News Club
Team members help lead a Bible club for various CISD Elementary Schools in the Fall and Spring. We need additional volunteers for the spring semester. To help, contact Michelle Purifoy 214-529-5233.
