A Word from Our Pastor
Dear FBC Family,
It’s a beautiful morning!! Thank you for being here today and a special welcome to the Navarro College Football Team! This morning, we are kicking off a new series of teaching on the Book of Mark. It all begins with Mark introducing us to John the Baptist, and John’s message was direct and simple. He said, “Repent and be baptized!” The word “repent” means to turn around. It means that you’re going in one direction, away from God, but then you hear the truth, and you turn from your sin and turn to God. It’s one turn, not two. You don’t have to first turn from your sin, and then turn toward God. When you turn toward God, you are turning from your sin.
Today, I want to ask you to do the same thing John the Baptist asked. I want you to repent. Consider how you’re living, and if you’re living away from God, turn back to Him. Repent and come home to Jesus Christ.
Praying for you,
