Prayer

By Rebecca Clopp

1. Remnant

As you pray, ask yourself. Am I living by faith or am I relying on my Christian heritage, time spent in a church building, checklist of good deeds? Your faith in Jesus Christ is what matters. Faith in Jesus produces spirit-led fruit to the end!

“Now on that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will no longer rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.”‭‭

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:20-21‬ ‭NASB

2. Praise God for His Favor

“LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness. For You have turned a city into a heap, A fortified city into a ruin; A palace of strangers is no longer a city, It will never be rebuilt. Therefore a strong people will glorify You; Cities of ruthless nations will revere You. For You have been a stronghold for the helpless, A stronghold for the poor in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless Is like a rainstorm against a wall. Like heat in a dry land, You subdue the uproar of foreigners; Like heat by the shadow of a cloud, the song of the ruthless is silenced. Now the LORD of armies will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, And refined, aged wine. And on this mountain, He will destroy the covering which is over all peoples, The veil which is stretched over all nations. He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. And it will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; Let’s rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

Isaiah‬ ‭25:1-9‬ ‭NASB

‭‭3. Pray for the Salvation of All Who is Lost. Share His Love in the Name of Jesus.

“Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, “THOUGH THE NUMBER OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL MAY BE LIKE THE SAND OF THE SEA, ONLY THE REMNANT WILL BE SAVED.”‭‭

Romans‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭NASB

4. Are You Sharing Your Faith? Word of Faith Brings Salvation!

“Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation. For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge. For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”‭

‭Romans‬ ‭10:1-4‬ ‭NASB

5. Be Faithful; Pray for Those Who Do Evil! Pray for the Spirit of the LORD to Convict the Hearts of the Lost.

“Do not get upset because of evildoers, Do not be envious of wrongdoers. For they will wither quickly like the grass, And decay like the green plants. Trust in the LORD and do good; Live in the land and cultivate faithfulness.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:1-3‬ ‭NASB

6. Stay Committed to the LORD

“Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring out your righteousness as the light, And your judgment as the noonday.”‭‭

Psalms‬ ‭37:4-6‬ ‭NASB

7. REST in the LORD

“Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and abandon wrath; Do not get upset; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers will be eliminated, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land. Yet a little while and the wicked person will be no more; And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. But the humble will inherit the land And will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.”‭‭

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:7-11‬ ‭NASB
