Prayer

By Rebecca Clopp

A B I D E

“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.”‭‭ John‬ ‭15:3-4‬ ‭NASB

Life application study Bible Fruitful branches are cut back to promote growth. God must sometimes discipline us to strengthen our faith. Branches that don’t bear fruit are cut off at the trunk because not only are they worthless, but they often infect the rest of the tree. People who won’t bear fruit for God or who try to block the efforts of God’s followers will be cut off from His life-giving power.

Dear Lord forgive me of all my sins! Help me to humble my self turn from my selfish ways. Guide my heart to abide in You. Obedience I pray for each of us individually and as a Church. Help each of us to repent and go seek forgiveness from those that we have offended. Purify us as a Church today. I’m the power of Jesus I pray. Amen!

Pray for the Church to become Spirit led. We must be led by the Spirit of God and not by the face of man. “Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NASB

In your quiet time read 1 Corinthians 3:9-23

UNITY

“Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭NASB
As you read the Word of God . Listen and pray. Pray for the Hispanic congregation. Pray for FBC to become unified . Loving and serving each other as we serve the Lord. Read Colossians 3:9-17

DEVOTED TO PRAY

“Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak. Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.”‭‭ Colossians‬ ‭4:2-6‬ ‭NASB
