Prayer

By Rebecca Clopp

‭‭MONDAY

“Now hear this, O foolish and senseless people, Who have eyes but do not see; Who have ears but do not hear.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬‭

“To whom shall I speak and give warning That they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed And they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become a reproach to them; They have no delight in it.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭NASB

‭‭As in Jeremiah’s day, people today dislike God’s demand for disciplined living. People become angry and close their ears instead of listening to the truth. They choose to follow creation instead of our great Creator.

As unsettling as people’s responses might be, we must continue to share Jesus Christ and His Word. Our responsibility is to present The Gospel message. The Good News ! It’s their responsibility to accept it.

Share His Love by telling what the Lord has done for you. Pray for the lost and then GO and tell your story In the power of The Holy Spirit! Amen.

‭TUESDAY

“You shall say to them, ‘

‘Thus says the Lord, “Do men fall and not get up again?

Does one turn away and not repent?

Why then has this people, Jerusalem, Turned away in continual apostasy?

They hold fast to deceit, They refuse to return.

I have listened and heard, They have spoken what is not right; No man repented of his wickedness, Saying, ‘What have I done?’ Everyone turned to his course, Like a horse charging into the battle.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭8‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB

This story is repeated over and over. We as a Nation are in the same shameful pattern of disobedience and SIN!

God watched the nation, He saw people living sinful lives by choice, deceiving themselves that there would be no consequences. The United States of America is doing the same thing. Electing Evil,  Godless leaders and letting them guide us down the path of destruction. Wake up! Turn from your wicked ways. We are on the wrong path. If you say ,”I’m not doing anything wrong, “ you are deceiving yourself. Put your faith and trust in God and return. ‭‭‭‭

“For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.”

Proverbs‬ ‭24‬:‭16‬ ‭NASB

‭‭WEDNESDAY

“My sorrow is beyond healing, My heart is faint within me!”

Jeremiah‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬ ‭NASB

‭‭“Behold, listen! The cry of the daughter of my people from a distant land: “Is the Lord not in Zion? Is her King not within her?” “Why have they provoked Me with their graven images, with foreign idols?” “Harvest is past, summer is ended, And we are not saved.” For the brokenness of the daughter of my people I am broken; I mourn, dismay has taken hold of me. Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has not the health of the daughter of my people been restored?”

Jeremiah‬ ‭8‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

‭‭These words vividly portray Jeremiah’s emotion as he watched his people reject God. He responded with anguish to a world dying in sin. We see people lost and rejecting God, but do we have Jeremiah’s same passionate concern. (Life Application Study Bible.)

Are we living and sharing Jesus with friends, neighbors and family. We must begin each day by asking God to break our hearts for the world He loves.

Share His love by telling what The Lord has done for you. Pray for those near and far. ‭‭

‭‭THURSDAY

“Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the Lord.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NASB

People tend to admire four qualities in others; human wisdom, power, kindness, and riches. But God puts a higher priority on knowing Him personally and living a life that reflects His justice and righteousness. What are people admiring most about you?( Life Application Study Bible.)

“Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God.”

Psalms‬ ‭20‬:‭7‬ ‭NASB

‭‭FRIDAY

“Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel. Thus says the Lord, “Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them; For the customs of the peoples are DELUSIONAL ; Because it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate it with silver and with gold; They fasten it with nails and with hammers So that it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field are they, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NASB

‭‭‭‭Jeremiah’s response applies to today; God made the earth and the heavens. He alone is in charge of climate, and He alone is able to more than able to move mountains. No one person can guide you or help you  if they are lost to begin with. If they are pushing an untrustworthy agenda— head the other direction.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah‬ ‭41‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

‭‭SATURDAY

“No one is like you, Lord; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.

Who should not fear you, King of the nations? This is your due. Among all the wise leaders of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is no one like you.

They are all senseless and foolish; they are taught by worthless wooden idols. Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz. What the craftsman and goldsmith have made is then dressed in blue and purple— all made by skilled workers. But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God, the eternal King.

When he is angry, the earth trembles; the nations cannot endure his wrath. “Tell them this: ‘These gods, who did not make the heavens and the earth, will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.’ ”

But God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

When he thunders, the waters in the heavens roar; he makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth. He sends lightning with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.

Everyone is senseless and without knowledge; every goldsmith is shamed by his idols. The images he makes are a fraud; they have no breath in them.

They are worthless, the objects of mockery; when their judgment comes, they will perish.

He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things, including Israel, the people of his inheritance—

the Lord Almighty is his name.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭10‬:‭6‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

SUNDAY

‭‭“Although our sins testify against us, do something, Lord, for the sake of your name. For we have often rebelled; we have sinned against you. You who are the hope of Israel, its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who stays only a night? Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, Lord, and we bear your name; do not forsake us!”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭14‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“This is what the Lord says about this people: “They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins.”

Jeremiah‬ ‭14‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
