A small committee charged by the Deacon Council to review our Constitution and By-Laws recently completed its work. In accordance with established rules, enumerated below, their work, proposed amendments, were presented in writing at the Church Conference on Sunday, 23 May 2023.

Constitution
ARTICLE FIVE. AMENDMENTS
This constitution may be amended by the following procedures:
- Any proposed amendment shall be offered in writing at the regular business meeting of the church.
- The proposed amendment, together with the designated time for its consideration, shall be published in two consecutive issues of the church’s official weekly publication thirty days prior to the meeting in which a vote is to be taken.
- The proposed amendment shall be approved by three-fourths (3/4) of the members present and voting at each of two consecutive regular business meetings of the church after proper offering and notification described above.
By-Laws
ARTICLE TEN. AMENDMENTS
These by-laws may be amended by the following procedure:
- Any proposed amendment shall be offered in writing at the regular church conference.
- The proposed amendment, together with the designated time for its consideration, shall be published in two consecutive issues of the church’s official weekly publication thirty days prior to the meeting in which a vote is to be taken.
- The proposed amendment shall be approved by three-fourths (3/4) of the members present and voting at each of two consecutive regular business meetings of the church after proper offering and notification described above.
These proposed amendments will be available the next two Sundays: 28 May 2023 and 4 June 2023. In addition a copy can be viewed or downloaded by clicking the buttons below. We recommend that all members review these proposed amendments and come to a Church Conference on Wednesday, 21 June 2023. Please note that the conference has been scheduled on Wednesday because of Father’s Day.
Additional discussion and a first vote will take place on Sunday, 16 July 2023. Final discussion and a second vote will take place on Sunday, 27 August 2023.
