Dear FBC Family,
God is good and worthy of our praise! Let me walk you through this week’s announcements:
1) Come and join us Sunday mornings! Sunday School classes are growing and worship is expanding every week. We are in the midst of an intriguing, hope-giving sermon series on THE BOOK OF REVELATION. You do not want to miss it!
2) The Annual Meeting of Texas Baptist is upon us. If you were elected to be a BGCT MESSENGER on behalf of our church, please remember we meet on Monday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
3) The really BIG NEWS is that FEAST AND PRAISE is this Sunday! As everything else in 2020, it is a little different. This year we invite you and your family to a Church-wide Picnic at Fullerton-Garrity Park this Sunday at 1 pm. (Bring your own picnic meal.) Then following the picnic, we will have a fantastic concert with THE TALLEYS starting at 2 pm! Invite friends, neighbors, family, and friends! There is no charge!
4) It is almost time to decorate our church for Christmas! I love this time of year! We need you to help….so please come on Sunday afternoon, Nov 22 at 3 pm to DECK THE HALLS for Christmas! Gather in the Welcome Center to receive your assignment.
5) If you would like to PURCHASE A POINSETTIA for $15 in honor or in memory of someone, please contact the church office immediately. Envelopes are in the Welcome Center as well. Don’t delay!
6) Finally, as you can tell from my previous two points, Christmas is not cancelled this year! Following is a list of CHRISTMAS DATES you will want to remember:
• Nov 22 – Angel Tree kick-off
• Nov. 29 – Advent begins
• Dec. 5 – Hosting Angels of Corsicana / Stuff stockings for our troops (8a-1p)
• Dec. 13 – “FBC’s Family Christmas” (6 pm)
• Dec. 16 – Jingle Jam…a fun experience for the whole family! (6 pm)
• Dec. 20 – Christmas Caroling (4 pm)
• Dec. 24 – Christmas Candlelight Communion (3:30pm/5:30pm)
