A Word From Our Pastor

Good morning and Happy New Year, FBC!

I am so excited to cross over into this new year with you; however, before we speak of that in today’s sermon, I wanted to look back into the incredible ministry God did through FBC during the Christmas season:

1st – We once again crushed our Christmas Shoe Box goal by giving over 860 shoe boxes through Operation Christmas Child! We shared the Gospel with 860 children and their families throughout the world!

2nd – We hosted the Ladies Christmas Gathering and provided Christ-centered encouragement to 100’s of women! Well done, Ladies!

3rd – We ministered to over 15 families and 27 children through the Angel Tree ministry! I am so proud of the care we give in Jesus’ name to children whose parents are incarcerated. Well done, FBC!

4th – We sent out multiple teams to sing Christmas carols to our homebound members and nursing homes! The glimmer of hope we brought to each person was a reminder how simple it can be to bring hope to lonely people.

5th – We took the name of Jesus into this year’s adopted campus, the Corsicana Middle School. We served coffee and hot chocolate to teachers through our Christmas Coffee Express!

6th – We sang the message of the birth of the Savior through this year’s annual Christmas Cantata! Well done, Choir!

7th – We fed the hungry through giving 400 large cans of cream of mushroom soup to the Community Food Boxes done by Compassion Corsicana!

8th – We helped a resident and her son who live at the House of Refuge! We continue to

hold and help these ladies as they recover from domestic abuse situations.

9th – We gave additional food baskets to numerous people to take care of real need in our community.

10th – We shined the light of Jesus to the 100’s and maybe 1000’s who gathered for the annual Christmas parade! Thank you, Christmas float team!

So you see, we could have just gathered to celebrate Jesus’ birth, but rather we were a church who “went” in His name to tell it on the mountain that JESUS CHRIST IS BORN!

So proud of this church

Pastor Danny
