A Word from the Staff
Who is Lottie Moon?
Lottie Moon was appointed a missionary to China July 7, 1873. She was a bold woman of action and radical obedience who shared Christ with the people of China to the end. Lottie died Dec. 24, 1912, leaving a legacy of love and service to her Lord. Her influence led to the establishment of Woman’s Missionary Union and inspired other missions pioneers to join her on the field. Her passionate letter-writing led to the offering that bears her name today, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® for International Missions.
This year our offering goal is $18,000.
Cantata
Next Sunday, join us at 11:00AM to hear our Celebration Choir present “Light of Christ, Born For Us.” We will just have the one combined service that Sunday after Sunday School and are excited to celebrate Christmas and Christ’s birth through the Cantata. We hope that you can make it and invite someone to hear the truth of the Christmas season.
Advent Calendar
As we continue the Advent season, this week we are focusing on LOVE. God showed us how He truly loves us by sending His Son to earth. We pray the Lord help us to remember His love for us no matter what is happening in our lives and show us ways we can share His love in our lives this season. To help you and your family center on this love, we’ve prepared a family Advent Reading Plan available outside the Sanctuary. This guide will walk you through Scripture as you focus on Christ this season.

Ministry Opportunities
Compassion Can Drive
Each year, our church partners with Compassion Corsicana to provide food items for families in need. This year, we are collecting Cream of Chicken Soup (any size).
Please bring cans to the Welcome Center by December 9th, and we’ll deliver them on behalf of our church family.
Thank you for your generosity!
Guest Services
We are looking for smiling faces to welcome families, students, and children to our facility. We need people to assist families with check-in, collect information from guests, and help guide visitors to the appropriate class or group.
School Card Ministry
Team members pray daily over staff members of Carroll and Sam Houston Elementary schools. In addition, they prepare encouraging cards once a month. Cards are due this week! Place your card in the brightly colored box in the Welcome Center.
GriefShare
Team members walk alongside those experiencing loss. We are currently looking for additional leaders for this important ministry.

Kidspraise
Offered at 11:00AM Service
Kidspraise is our Children’s Church during the sermon time. Parents should register kids on the landing before service or when dismissed. Pickup is on the 4th floor. Activity packets are also available for kids outside the Sanctuary doors.
No Kidspraise on the December 14 (Cantata) and December 28 (One Service).

Join us at every Monday morning for coffee and biblical discussion based on a variety of topics. It’s a good way to start off the week, so make plans to join us this Monday!
Men’s Mystery Dinner
4th Thursday of the Month
Join us once a month for dinner at a surprise location (within 45 minutes) where men can gather for food, conversation, and building relationships.
There will be no Mystery Dinner in November or December.

The Sanctuary flowers are given in loving memory of Marcus and Joyce Humbert by Donna and Gaylon Whittenburg.
Poinsettias
We are selling poinsettias to decorate the Welcome Center. You can order in memory or honor of a loved one. The cost is $20. Envelopes can be found in the pew pockets or contact the Church Office.
