A Word from the Staff
Church App
We have a new church app. You can find an installation link on homepage of our website.
The app is called Church by MinstryOne (look for the purple cross icon). It is available for Android or iOS.
With it you can watch recent sermons, securely give tithes and offerings, register for events (like the Men’s Retreat), connect with church members and stay in the know on what’s happening.
Sunday School
It is surely a blessing to worship together on Sundays, but don’t miss the next step: joining a Sunday School class!
We have classes for all ages which meet every Sunday at 9:45 am, right between the early and late worship services.
Join a class and dive deeper into God’s Word, build genuine relationships with fellow believers, and find a welcoming space to explore your spiritual questions and grow in faith.
Whether you’re new to First Baptist or a longtime member, there’s a place for you.

Ministry Opportunities
Welcome Baskets
We prepare baskets with hygiene items, personal essentials, and a devotional for women entering local shelters. Each basket brings practical help and encouragement from God’s Word.
Get Involved: Donate items, help assemble baskets, or pray for the women receiving them.
Good News Café
Every Monday, team members prepare and serve a free hot meal to our community. Volunteers also minister and pray with guests.
Meal service: 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM.
Media/Tech Ministry
Team members support worship services by assisting with lights, sound, livestream, and slide presentation. Training is provided.

Children
Kidspraise
Offered at 11:00AM Service
Kidspraise is our Children’s Church during the sermon time. Parents should register kids on the landing before service or when dismissed. Pickup is on the 4th floor. Activity packets are also available for kids outside the Sanctuary doors.
No Kidspraise on the last Sunday of the month.
Sunday School
9:45AM on the 2nd & 4th Floors
We have classes for children from birth to sixth grade. Register in the nursery (preschool kids) or on the 3rd Floor landing (elementary kids).

Our midweek discipleship for children is taking a break for the Christmas Holidays. We will start again on January 7th.

Why we give: Giving supports the ministries, outreach programs, and day‑to‑day operations of our church so that we can worship, disciple, serve, and reach others for Christ. Your generosity makes ministry possible.
We believe generous giving is part of faithful worship — an opportunity to partner in God’s work through our church. If you would like to give offerings or support our ministries, here are the ways you can contribute:
- In‑Person — You may drop your tithes or offerings in the offering box located outside the Sanctuary.
- Online — Prefer to give electronically? You can give securely through our website. Click on a button below.
- Text Giving — For convenience, giving by text is also available. Text “GIVE” to 903-467-5806 to give quickly and securely.
- Mail or Drop‑Off — If you prefer, you may mail your contribution to the Church Office or drop it off during office hours.

Join us at every Monday morning for coffee and biblical discussion based on a variety of topics. It’s a good way to start off the week, so make plans to join us this Monday!
Spring Retreat
Mar 6-7 | Lakeview – Palestine
Our spring retreat is open to all men of our church and community (high school age and up). It’s perfect for dads, singles, leaders – anyone hungry for God. Bring a friend!
Men’s Mystery Dinner
4th Thursday of the Month
Join us once a month for dinner at a surprise location (within 45 minutes) where men can gather for food, conversation, and building relationships.
