A Word from the Staff
Pastor Search Committee
Today, at the end of the service, we will elect a Pastor Search Committee. These are the duties of that committee:
The Senior Pastor Search Committee, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, shall consider and recommend to the church a person to be called to serve as Senior Pastor. The Senior Pastor Search Committee will work closely with the Finance Committee, the Personnel Committee, and other such committees as may be necessary.
After its election, the Senior Pastor Search Committee will meet, select its own chairman, and organize itself to fulfill its duties. The Senior Pastor Search Committee shall make periodic reports to the church in conference on its progress.
The work of the Senior Pastor Search Committee will be considered complete when a Senior Pastor has been called, has accepted and arrived on the field. The Senior Pastor Search Committee shall then be dissolved.
House of Refuge
On Thursday, the House of Refuge was destroyed by fire. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. There was an immediate need for clothing. We were able to provide some help through our Good News Closet. If you would like to help further with recovery, please contact Compassion Corsicana. Donations can be taken to their office on 111 E 1st Avenue.

Card Ministry
Aug 3–Sep 7
Team members send a card once a month and pray daily for a staff member from Sam Houston or Carroll Elementary. Cards are due on the first week of the month! For more information, see Loyd Miguel, Anele Richardson, or Patti Woodall.
Good News Café
Meals are served from 11:00AM to 12:30PM.
On Mondays, team members prepare and serve a free hot meal to people in our community, ministering and praying for those who attend.
Media/Tech Ministry
Team members help coordinate tech support for worship services. You might help with lights, sound, or slide display.
Guest Services
Team members assist families with check-in, collect information from guests, and help guide visitors to the appropriate location.

Kidspraise
Offered at 11:00AM Service
Parents should register kids on the landing before service or when dismissed. Pick-up is on the 4th floor. Activity packets are also available for kids outside the Sanctuary doors.
We do not offer Kidspraise on last Sunday of the month (October 26).
Sunday School
9:45AM on the 2nd & 4th Floors
We have classes for children from birth to sixth grade. Register in the nursery (preschool) or on the 3rd Floor landing (elementary).

Our midweek discipleship for children is taking a break for the summer. It will resume on Wednesday, August 20.

Men’s Fall Retreat
23-October 2025
Join us for a one-night event with men of many walks of life. There will be plenty of food, games, biblical teaching, and fellowship. Registration is $30.

Join us at every Monday morning for coffee and bibilical discussion based on a variety of topics. It’s a good way to start off the week, so make plans to join us this Monday!

Join us once a month for dinner at a suprise location (within 45 minutes) where men can gather for food, conversation, and building relationships.
