    Scripture Memory

Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

    1 Peter 5.7

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

    1 John 5.14

    Reflection

Who in your office or at your worksite is barely hanging on by a thread? Make it your business to know. That’s what being a Christian is all about! There are people all around you who are hurting. Behind their smile, they’re dying under the weight of some hurt or burden. God wants you to be the one to lift them up and show them his love.

    Scripture Memory

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

    1 Corinthians 15:58 (NASB)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

    Matthew 5:6

    Reflection

God’s going to bless anybody who’s persecuted because they live for him. We should notice that we don’t get rewarded for being rude or obnoxious. If we live self-righteous lives when we get persecuted, we’re not martyrs. We’re just jerks. Be like Jesus and get rewarded.

    Scripture Memory

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

    1 John 2:15-16 (NASB)

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

    Matthew 5:5 (NASB)

    Reflection

God’s going to bless anybody who’s persecuted because they live for him. Notice that you don’t get rewarded for being rude or obnoxious. If you live a self-righteous life when you get persecuted, you’re not a martyr. You’re just a jerk. You don’t get rewarded for that. You get rewarded for being like Jesus.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

    Hebrews 11:6 (NASB)

    Reflection

We all need what God has to offer, but many of us look for it in all the wrong places. How many of us expect our needs to be met by careers, bank accounts, romantic relationships, friendships, children, or family? That’s not it. God is the source of all the goodness in our lives. Focus on God and let Him provide your needs this week.

    Hebrews 2.18 (NASB)

    Matthew 5:4 (NASB)

    Reflection

In the final moments of life, nobody ever asks for things. What do they ask for? They ask for people, because eventually everybody learns that life is all about relationships, not things. We could reduce a lot of stress in life, if we could learn that sooner. Life is not about achievements or accomplishments. Life is about relationships. Develop a relationship this week.

    Matthew 5:3 (NASB)

    Reflection

In our lives, the Holy Spirit should guide us. How does the Holy Spirit guide us? By reminding us of what you’ve read in the Bible. When we memorize Scripture, God’s Word is stored in our minds, and the Holy Spirit helps us remember. If you aren’t memorizing Scripture, start this week.

When you make mistakes as a believer, God doesn’t get mad at you. God doesn’t want to get even with you. God doesn’t start planning to mess up your life. When you know Jesus Christ as Savior, God always acts in mercy toward you. What person in your life needs to hear about the grace and mercy of God?

  • Weekly Word (12)

    Scripture Memory

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

    1 John 5:13 (NASB)

A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

    Proverbs 15:1

    Reflection

Often people quit their faith journey early because everything they’re carrying wears them out.
That’s what happens to us when we try to do too much. We need to learn to say “no” to some things
that are good because they keep us from doing our best. Think about everything you are carrying and consider saying “no” to something good so that you can say “yes” to something better.

  • Weekly Word (11)

    Scripture Memory

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.

    John 1:12 (NASB)

There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

    Lamentations 3:22-23

    Reflection

God doesn’t want you to make foolish mistakes. He doesn’t want you to hit dead ends or go through
failure after failure in life. God wants you to succeed. He wants you to make wise decisions with your
time and your money and your relationships. It’s not like you’re waiting on him for his help. He’s
waiting for you! How can you surrender to Him this week and choose to do things His way instead of your way?
