This is one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend the book The Prodigal God. I keep a copy an extra in my library just so I can loan it out.
The book examines the parable of the Prodigal Son. Most of us read this parable and focus on the younger son who selfishly squanders his inheritance. Until I read this book, I had never considered the sin of the elder brother—the one who stays home working for his father. It’s extremely insightful and thought provoking. Get the book and read it. You won’t regret it.
