MONDAY
BELT
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12 NASB
TRUTH
Satan fights with lies, and sometimes his lies sound like truth; but only believers in Jesus Christ have God’s truth, which can defeat Satan’s lies. God has provided supernatural power to defeat Satan by giving us His Holy Spirit within us and and His armor surrounding us.
Remember the words of Jesus to Peter, “Upon this rock I will build this church, and the gates of Hades will not over power it.“
Matthew 16:18
(Life Application Study Bible.)
Before you go put on the full armor of God !
TUESDAY
BREASTPLATE
“Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”
Ephesians 6:13-14 NASB
RIGHTEOUSNESS
Satan often attacks our hearts—-the seat of our emotions, self-worth, and trust. God’s righteousness is the breastplate that protects our hearts and ensures his approval. He approves of us because He loves us and sent His Son to die for us. (Life Application Study Bible).
Open your heart to Jesus as you pray.
WEDNESDAY
FOOTGEAR
“and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;”
Ephesians 6:15 NASB
Readiness to spread the Good News
Satan wants us to think that telling the Good News to others is a hopeless task. He convinces us that we are not ready or capable to share what Jesus has done for us. The footgear God gives us is the motivation to proclaim the true peace that is available by having a relationship with His Son Jesus Christ. Everyone needs to hear the Good News. ( Life Application Study Bible.)
Pray for yourself and pray for others.
THURSDAY
SHIELD
“in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Ephesians 6:16 NASB
FAITH
Lie’s, insults, heartbreak, and temptations are all part of Satan’s schemes. But the shield of faith protects us from Satan’s flaming arrows. With God’s perspective, we can know that ultimate victory is ours. (Life Application Study Bible.)
Start your day with God and receive His perspective.
FRIDAY
HELMET
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Ephesians 6:17 NASB
SALVATION
Satan wants to make us doubt God, Jesus and our Salvation. The helmet protects our minds from doubting God’s saving work for us.
Our hole body needs to be armed. Fight in the strength of the church, whose power comes from the Holy Spirit. (Life Application Study Bible.)
Time in His Word
Time in Prayer
SATURDAY
SWORD
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,”
Ephesians 6:17-18 NASB
The Spirit, the Word of God
The sword is the only weapon of offense in this list of armor. There are times when we need to take the offensive against Satan. When we are tempted, we need to trust in the truth of God’s word. (Life Application Study Bible.)
“and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
Ephesians 6:19-20 NASB
SUNDAY
Onward Christian Soldiers
1 Onward, Christian soldiers,
marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
going on before!
Christ, the royal Master,
leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
see his banner go!
Refrain:
Onward, Christian soldiers,
marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
going on before!
2 At the sign of triumph
Satan’s host doth flee;
On, then, Christian soldiers,
on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
at the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices,
loud your anthems raise! [Refrain]
3 Like a mighty army
moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading
where the saints have trod;
We are not divided;
all one body we,
One in hope and doctrine,
one in charity. [Refrain]
4 Onward, then, ye people,
join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices
in the triumph song;
Glory, laud, and honor,
unto Christ the King;
This thro’ countless ages
men and angels sing. [Refrain]

Ephesians 6:10-20 NASB
“Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love.”
Ephesians 6:23-24 NASB
