Loyd Miguel

Hispanic Pastor


Brother Loyd grew up in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, a town in the northern Caribbean part of the country. He is the second of four children. He was raised by his grandparents and his mother. Brother Loyd is passionate about missions. After graduating from high school, he served one year in the missionary volunteer service between Nicaragua and Honduras. It was during that time God confirmed his call to the ministry. Loyd attended and received his diploma in theology at the Mexican Baptist Seminary. While in Mexico, he assisted “El Buen Pastor” Baptist Church in planting a new church. Loyd continued his theological studies at the Nicaraguan Theological Seminary and graduated with honors. He also served the Baptist Convention of Nicaragua as a national youth leader. Loyd was pastor of the “San Pablo” Baptist Church in the capital city of Managua. In 2010 he married Alma and together they served for 9 years as missionaries among the Miskito and Mayagna ethnic groups in the Caribbean mountains of Nicaragua. They welcomed their daughters Lya in 2014 and Lyla in 2016. Loyd completed a master’s degree in global leadership with a focus on missions at Dallas Baptist University in December. He loves fishing, watching baseball, boxing, and soccer. He loves the ocean and vacationing with his family. Loyd’s passion is to preach and teach the infallible Word of God and to see people follow Jesus and serve Him.
