Details

The retreat is $80 per man, covering cabin lodging (two-person occupancy), Friday dinner, and Saturday breakfast. Bring your own snacks to share, and personal items. Bed linens are provided.

  1. Lakeview Methodist Conference Center, 300 Private Rd 6036, Palestine, TX
  2. Meetings will be in the Great Hall at the conference center.
  3. A bus will leave FBC from the FLC parking lot at 4:45pm.
  4. If you come on your own, check in will begin in the Great Hall starting at 5:00pm and dinner will be at 6:00pm. If you come later than that, we will get you checked in upon arrival.
  5. Rooms are hotel style. You will have a roommate but each of you will have your own bed.
  6. Rooms are very close to the Great Hall and there is plenty of parking.
  7. Dining hall is about a 1⁄4 mile walk from the Great Hall.

Our guest speaker is Dr. Joe Loughlin. Joe is the current Lead Pastor of FBC Temple (he also served as interim here). Joe began local church ministry in 1984 and began his ministry at First Temple in June of 2017. He has degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), and Howard Payne University (Bachelor of Arts in the Honors Academy). Joe and his wife, Valerie, have three adult children: Briana, Worth, and Glenna.

Open to all men of our church and community (high school age and up). Perfect for dads, singles, leaders – anyone hungry for God. Bring a friend!

Key return will start on Saturday morning after breakfast and will end at 10:45am. A table will be set up at back of the Great Hall. Please keep track of your key. There is a significant fee charged to us (you) for lost/unreturned keys.
