A Word from Our Pastor
Good morning, FBC Family!
Our church has been active in ministry as we approach Easter. I want to thank everyone who is so committed to growing our church & sharing Jesus! Yesterday, we hosted a Hispanic Block Party, and we passed out 300 dozen edible eggs and 300 dozen Good News Eggs. We pray this outreach event will be effective at sharing the story of Jesus with people in Corsicana. (We also, today, welcome recent participants from our Good News Club from Navarro & Carrol Elementary!)
Today’s sermon focuses on the burial of Jesus. Have you ever imagined what a gruesome task faced those who buried Jesus? First, they had to climb up and remove the embedded nails from Jesus’ hands and feet. Then, they had to lower His mangled body. They had to remove the razor sharp crown of thorns. I shudder when I think about the job they faced. What an act of love!
Let’s not fast-forward from the cross to the empty tomb. Let’s stop and talk about the burial of Jesus’ body.
